Marcin Danda. Physiotherapy.MARCIN DANDA B.Sc. PT Reg. PT:

Marcin started practicing physiotherapy after he graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, Poland in 1997, with Master of Science degree. In addition to physiotherapy education, he decided to enroll in a Psychology Master of Science program at Silesian University in Katowice, Poland, which was successfully completed in 2001. Soon he realized that he was going to strive to excel in the field of physiotherapy, as each individual case was a challenge requiring a lot of personal involvement.

Over the last 5 years he has been working in multidisciplinary clinics in Hamilton and Oakville trying to help his patients achieve maximum functional recovery after various types of injuries. His philosophy of treatment constitutes of combination of the Manual therapy techniques (including Mulligan Concept, McKenzie Protocol, Evjenth and Kalterborn Concept, Nervous System Mobility Techniques, as per Butler) with addition of some Neurological Rehabilitation elements (PNF and Bobath). He also tries to incorporate some of his psychological knowledge to help patients to achieve their optimal wellness and facilitate transformation of their attitude towards their body. He is a strong believer in the patient's personal and proactive involvement in the process of recovery through performing the recommended active exercise program.

Tiffany Zaplitney. Physiotherapy.Tiffany Zaplitney RPT, MSc. PT, BSc. Kin, CAFCI:

Tiffany started practicing physiotherapy in 2006 after completing her Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Her main focus during her masters program was in Cardiorespiratory Physical Therapy which allowed her to acquire a diverse clinical background in various facilities. As well, she contributed to a published article, was an artist for the U of T Anatomy Department, and won the "Life and Breath of Physical Therapy" award from U of T. Previous to her Masters, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria with honors. Out west, she learned to achieve a life balance between the demands of work, school and recreational activities.

Over the past 3 years, she has worked in various settings such as: sports rehabilitation, neuro-rehab, critical care, intensive care, thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Eventually, her focus changed to an out-patient, orthopaeidc environment because of the variation in client cases and divesity in the patient population. Her treatment techniques include client education, the MacKenzie Method and manual therapy techniques. Her passion for education is fueled by completing advanced physiotherapy courses and credits. She strives to continue to provide best practice techniques and follow the latest evidence based research to create learning tools for clients.

Outside of work, she enjoys several, all-season outdoor activities. By finding a life-work balance in Barrie, Tiffany feels that she is able to pass on her positive-energy and active attitude to her clients, and therefore help them achieve optimal wellness while having a smile on their face.
